Violence in the occupied West Bank flared this week with Israeli settlers setting fire to a mosque in Ramallah. The attack has taken place in the context of Israel’s provocation in East Jerusalem around the Al Aqsa mosque where clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian protesters have taken place. Israeli police shot and killed a West Bank man earlier this week after two Israelis were fatally stabbed by Palestinians.

Earlier this month, a delegation of international activists paid a visit to the West Bank, specifically the village of Bil’in. The Interfaith Peace Builders 2014 African Heritage delegation was led on a tour of the region by famed Palestinian film maker Iyad Burnat, best known for his Academy award nominated documentary, Five Broken Cameras. While there, the delegation faced a tear gas attack by Israeli forces.

GUEST: Ajamu Baraka, a fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies, and a foreign policy expert.
