We’ll turn to the Transgender Law Center to discuss the tragic death of teenager Leelah Alcorn, who apparently committed suicide days ago, leaving behind a note blaming her parents and society for abandoning and isolating her because she was transgender. And, we’ll examine the implications of a new cancer study that concludes a majority of cancers develop from sheer bad luck. Plus, Congolese academic and author Alain Mabanckou, author of Letter to Jimmy, joins us in studio to discuss on how Africans view today’s racial justice struggles, and how the great writer and activist James Baldwin might have viewed it.
