There is Room for You: Tales From a Transgender Defender’s Heart
GUEST: Zoe Dolan, is a lawyer based in Los Angeles and New York City. Her practice focuses on criminal defense, with an emphasis on national security and death penalty cases. She currently represents Suleiman Abu Ghayth, a son-in-law of Osama bin Laden and the allegedly highest ranked al-Qaeda suspect to be tried in a civilian court in the United States.
Zoe Dolan has at least two passions – her legal defense work on international terrorism trials, and her advocacy work on behalf of transgender rights. In a very personal video shared on Upworthy, that went viral, Dolan told her story while peeling off layers of her clothing. The 38-year old trail-blazing lawyer has shared the story of her own personal and professional transformation and the struggles she has faced with sex addiction, assault, and the challenges of law school in a new book called There is Room For You: Tales From a Transgender Defender’s Heart.
For our Los Angeles audience, she will be speaking about her book on Wednesday, November 18 at 7 pm at The Markaz, Arts Center for the Greater Middle East
5998 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, California 90035. For more information, click HERE.

Interestingly, a new book called Osama’s Angel, http://tinyurl.com/qgkbjyh tells a story of the bin Laden capture at Abbottabad and his interrogation and court martial in Germany. The captured man professes to be Osama’s half brother Osman and protested that any DNA sample obtained from a half-sister would not be able to differentiate between the two half-brothers.
