Exclusive Report: Nurses and Environmental Activists Join Forces On Climate Change
Hundreds of people gathered at Pershing Square, in Downtown Los Angeles on Thursday morning to demand an end to global warming. The rally was organized by the National Nurses United along with several environmental justice organizations such as Communities for a Better Environment, Food and Water Watch and 350.org. It took place as the United Nations climate summit, COP21, is in full swing in Paris, France.
I was at the rally and spoke with some of the attendees.

This is great! How else can I express my satisfaction with this group who represents me in profession but not membership. This group expresses what Chinn & Kramer call Nurses Ways of Knowing that includes praxis — an action brought about when we see how our knowing of social political and ethical knowing, emancipates us to take action!
