One of the best reviewed movies this year, Little Children, has been recognised with Golden Globe nominations for Best film/Drama, Best Actress/Drama for Kate Winslet, and best screenplay. Little Children is based on the bestselling novel by Tom Perotta. It is a dark tale of suburban boredom, desperation, and paranoia. While a feminist turned mother has an affair with a handsome house-husband, an ex sex-offender moves back into town and causes havoc among petrified parents. The screenplay was co-written by Tom Perotta and Todd Field. Todd Field directed the film.
