Wal-MartGUEST: Nu Wexler, Communications Director at Wal-Mart Watch

The nation’s most important gathering of conservatives just wrapped up in Washington DC over the weekend. The Annual Conference of the Conservative Political Action Committee CPAC is the most important conservative movement event of the year, attended by over 5,000 activists from every state. One of the speakers, John Carlisle, focused on Wal-Mart this year. But he wasn’t praising Wal-Mart – he was severely criticizing it for giving in to critics. Carlisle is the Director of Policy of the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC). He recently authored a special report on Wal-Mart, embodying much of what his CPAC speech covered, including how Wal-Mart has betrayed conservatives by giving in to unions, the gay and lesbian community, and environmental groups.
