“A New World War” is opening this Saturday, April 14 at the Stephanie Feury Studio Theater on Melrose. “A New World War” is a sci-fi political comedy produced by Padua Playwrights. The play tells the story of a young woman in the near future living with her government-issue, personalized Cyborg husband in the midst of a vaguely-defined war. When a rebel insurgent breaks into her home, the woman then begins to break free from her government-issue life and escape the figure known as Mother-In-Law. The play seeks to address issues of information dissemination and its role in forming the experience of war to a society’s citizens. It will be playing every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night through to May 12.

A New World War is being performed on:
Fridays at 8 pm: April 13 (preview), 20, 27; May 4, 11
Saturdays at 8 pm: April 14, 21, 28; May 5, 12
