Librarians Urge Yes on Measure L
Measure L on the March 8th ballot is a City Charter amendment that relocates money from Los Angeles’ general fund to the public library system, thus providing the financially strapped learning centers with a greater share of the city’s revenue without raising taxes. Roy Stone is the President of the Librarians Guild.

One Response to “Librarians Urge Yes on Measure L”
It is for the voters to decide what the politicians won’t. Blame them, not the public! Should we do nothing because of fixed values the politicians are using to pay reassigned debt? The politicians are the ones making things worse by heaping debt on the library that previously was handled by other departments. At some point they stole the parking from the downtown main Library by leasing it out to some other company. Or does the land under the library actually have different owners? It’s a wonder they haven’t just sold the library to reduce debt. After all they are doing their best to make it unusable. This is all political snake oil that the public now has to deal with because nothing is sacred to those bozos in city hall. Heaven protect children holding candy, and walking by city hall!
