Latest DC (non)Scandal Does Little To Raise Breitbart’s Credibility

breitbartThe latest salacious DC scandal involving a philandering Congressman has reignited an always smoldering debate over public vs. private life. The media has fixated on Congressman Anthony Weiner and the text messages and pictures of himself in various states of undress that he sent to various women. Weiner’s admission to extramarital flirtations may lead to the end of his career as calls for his resignation mount. However a second man, right-wing blogger Andrew Breitbart, who broke the story, is sharing the spotlight but without any of the scrutiny. Breitbart has made a name for himself by publishing videos and articles that purportedly prove grave misconduct by Democrats and their allies. Most notably, Breitbart was the man behind last year’s controversy involving Shirley Sherrod, an African American employee of the USDA and a heavily edited video he made to accuse of her racism against whites. At Alternet, Mark Howard has listed 10 of Bretibart’s manufactured scandals that include his central role in smearing the civil rights organization ACORN, and his penchant for reporting on unethical or illegal behavior by Democrats with no supporting evidence. This latest Breitbart bombshell differs from the rest in that his evidence was sound. The damning photos of Congressmen Wiener were authentic and the controversial blogger is now being treated by some as a bonafide journalist.

Nice job of avoiding the fact that breitbart was dead on with this scandal. But what else would you expect from the newshounds, the truth? Hardly!

Keep attacking the messenger. Pay no attention to the cretins he’s exposing. It’s all about Breitbart, Breitbart,Breitbart.

Isn’t it funny how I originally rated the story with one star, but now it’s – surprise – 5 stars. Do liberals really have that thin of skin? I guess they do. At least the comment is still there, unlike at newshounds where they just delete any comment that disagrees with them – you know, the ones that tell the truth.
