Green is the New Red
The term “eco-terrorist” was pioneered by a conservative anti-environmentalist named Ron Arnold, who helped convince government officials that members of groups like Earth First!, Earth Liberation Front, and Animal Liberation Front, were on par with Al Qaeda. Explaining the rise of the so-called “Green Scare,” journalist Will Potter writes in his book Green is the New Red, that it was the result of “slowly merging the rhetoric of industry groups with that of politicians and law enforcement.” Potter, himself a environmental activist, was once arrested for leaf letting and approached by the FBI to be an informant.
On Thursday July 21st, 2011, Uprising host Sonali Kolhatkar spoke with author Will Potter about his book, Green is the New Red.

One Response to “Green is the New Red”
Very informative – hopefully America will take the time to look in the mirror
and dig deeper within to realize the terr…. is within !
Fear seems to be at the very core of everything –
Seen from a bigger picture perspective individual nationalistic values must be re-examined, this illusion that America is so great, strong, free, superior in any way – etc… is just that ” an illusion ” that is deflating as more and more info. is being shared *
