Los Angeles Joins US Cities in Protesting War on Iraq

More than 500 activist actions are planned across the United States to mark the third anniversary of the war in Iraq. In Los Angeles, thousands of people are expected to gather this Saturday, March 18th for a mass march and rally against the war. Demonstrators will assemble at noon on Hollywood and Vine and will march to the corner of Highland and Hollywood for the rally. Confirmed speakers at the rally include Fernando Suarez del Solar, Vietnam veteran Ron Kovic, boxing champion Mia St. John, and KPFK host Jerry Quickley.
