The workers represented by UNITE Here Local 11 are going to form a picket line starting at 6 a.m. tomorrow outside the W Hotel Hollywood, the Weekly has learned.

Strikers are unhappy with working conditions and say …

… that the hotel only allows them 25 minutes to clean each room in the upscale hotel that’s home to the celebrity hot-spot Drai’s.

The union described workers’ issues in a flier sent to the Weekly:

Maybe you’re a tidy guest. If so, thanks. But here at the W Hollywood, we housekeepers find post-party remnants like cake on the walls, broken champagne flutes, sex toys strewn about and way too many rose petals littering the floors. And no, the vacuum doesn’t pick those up – we do it by hand.

Cleaning up after guests is hard work that takes time. Sadly, our managers at the W Hollywood Hotel just don’t get it. So we decided to take action.
