Sonali Back from Maternity Leave; Hartmann Show Will Transition to Another Time
Uprising host Sonali Kolhatkar has returned to KPFK’s airwaves after 5 and a half months away for parental leave. Her second son, Naveen, was born on January 24 and is a healthy, happy baby! Sonali returns to Uprising with several changes on the program – tune in every morning at 8 am PST to listen!
Special thanks to Thom Hartmann for filling in for Sonali. The Thom Hartmann Show will return to KPFK in the coming weeks in a new time slot.

It’s great to hear Sonali Kolhatkar back on the air. It’s also great to hear Thom Hartmann too, now that he was kicked off of KTLK. Still, it’s good to know that Hartmann was on the air in Los Angeles, especially on KPFK. Why? Because, Hartmann had a strong following in Los Angeles. With more than several million listeners in Los Angeles, and the time slot he was on 9 a.m. to noon, he was beating Rush Limbaugh ratings wise. Also, his listeners were loyal customers too to his advertisers.
Well, why not capitalize (no pun intended) of his show and bring in the revenue to keep Hartmann going? Imagine if every former Hartmann listner pledged $1? That’s $1 million for KPFK. There is a strong following for Hartmann and by promoting him on KPFK, you will get listeners. Listeners means revenue and KPFK being on that much longer.
