Los Angeles Protests Continue Over Zimmerman Verdict
Activists have been chanting “The People Say Guilty” on the streets of LA since Florida shooter George Zimmerman was acquitted on Saturday. Community members have been gathering at and near Leimert Park, and other parts of the city, and even briefly shut down the 10 freeway.
Police have shot rubber bullets, accused protesters of causing thousands of dollars of property damage, and arrested more than a dozen people.
One of those who have been participating in the protests is KPFK staff member Jonathan Alexander
GUEST: Jonathan Alexander, KPFK’s Network Administration who has been active in the protests.
One Response to “Los Angeles Protests Continue Over Zimmerman Verdict”
The “people” dont know or understand Florida law. This is the silliest activist chant I’ve heard in years.
