ACLU Uncovers a Program Designed To Deny Citizenship to “Suspicious” Muslims
The ACLU has through Freedom of Information Act requests and litigations, obtained government documents which show that some people’s citizenship applications are being delayed or denied by the FBI because of a program called CARRP which stands for the Controlled Application Review and Resolution Program.
CARRP is a program that, at the discretion of the FBI, creates a class of people who are deemed too suspicious to be citizens, but not important enough to actually investigate.
Uprising host Sonali Kolhatkar recently interviewed Jennie Pasquarella, staff attorney with the ACLU of Southern California, and author of the report “Muslims Need Not Apply”.
