How much is too much? That’s the basic question film maker Ed Brown asks in his new documentary about the pervasiveness of chemical pollution in our environment and in our bodies. Government agencies like the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulate how much corporations can pollute, and they do so by determining acceptable levels of chemical exposure to human beings. But, Ed Brown finds, through the journey he took to make his film, that we are awash in a sea of chemicals so vast and so toxic that they are likely making us sick.

His documentary film, Unacceptable Levels, features consumer advocate Ralph Nader, Stacy Malkin of Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, the biologist Dr. Tyrone Hayes, and many other experts.

It opens at the Laemmle Monica Four-plex this Friday for an exclusive Los Angeles engagement.
