The Unstoppable Ralph Nader
The book Unsafe at Any Speed made Ralph Nader a household name in 1965 when it was first published. Nader became known as the nation’s leading consumer advocate. His fight for auto safety regulations pushed car manufacturers to include basic safety features like seat belts, and eventually led to the creation of a government agency, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
Decades later NHTSA is under scrutiny as car manufacturer General Motors is accused of negligence for failing to replace faulty ignition switches causing the deaths of at least 13 people.
Today, Nader continues to speak out on consumer safety issues and corporate malfeasance.
GUEST: Ralph Nader, long time consumer advocate, author of the forthcoming book Unstoppable: The Emerging Left-Right Alliance to Dismantle the Corporate State, is due out on April 29th. He has also just started a radio show on KPFK every Saturday at 11 am PST.

Great segment with Mr. Nader! Seems like each new generation has the companies they patronize must re-learn how NOT to produce things that are ‘unsafe at any speed’ – again, the “hard way” and again, putting money over safety – after totally unnecessary losses of loved ones in GM car crashes with a government watchdog that is and was asleep.
I am so glad Ralph Nader is taking to the airwaves on a weekly
basis ( Hopefull, it will be a daily basis. too ) We need his voice
out there more then ever today. It would be great for Ralph to
put the corporations on notice (as FDR did) by letting them he
“welcomes their hate” too.
Go, Go Progressives and the people will follow you……
