Sarah Palin 2012?
| the entire program
As the election excitement wraps up, what has happened to the Republican VP nominee who captured so much attention among the Republican rank and file, as well as the press? Sarah Palin returned to Alaska and immediately began giving interviews to CNN, Fox News and others. Many political pundits concur that Palin’s presence on the McCain ticket cost him the election. Her numerous gaffes such as extravagant clothing bills and falling prey to a crank call seemed to have alerted many voters into concluding that she was not qualified for higher office. And yet, the religious base of the Republican Party were extremely energized by her. Much speculation abounds about a possible Palin bid for the Presidency in 2012. Despite the national optimism for President elect Barack Obama, four years from now, it is certainly possible that Palin will be back on the election scene.
