GUEST: Robert Glennon, is a Regents’ Professor and Morris K. Udall Professor of Law and Public Policy at the University of Arizona and one of the nation’s thought leaders and commentators on water policy and law. He is the author of several books including, “Unquenchable: America’s Water Crisis and What To Do About It.”

The crisis of poisoned water in Flint, Michigan, has highlighted a serious problem with national implications – that our water infrastructure is, in general, crumbling. It’s not just Flint’s water pipes that are aging. The American Society of Civil Engineers’ latest report on national infrastructure in the US, gave the nation a “D” on drinking water. The report ominously warns that, “much of our drinking water infrastructure is nearing the end of its useful life.”
